PERSPECTIVES OF MEDIUM-TERM DEVELOPMENT 2012-2016

This five-year period is divided into two periods:

  • THE PERIOD 2012-2013:

During this period, efforts will be directed towards the gradual resumption of normal growth rate which will help address the problem of unemployment especially for graduates of higher education. Similarly, action will be taken to stimulate investment in infrastructure projects in the inland areas and improve social conditions. Similarly, the deepening of economic and social reforms will be essential to establish favorable conditions for resuming the normal pace of economic activity during the period 2012-2013 and a real boom in 2014, the year from which, an annual growth rate above 6% will be achieved.

The priorities for this period are mainly:
  • Support to regional development by strengthening investment in infrastructure projects and the adoption of various programs for the benefit of vulnerable classes while ensuring optimal targeting of these programs.
  • The establishment of a favorable business climate that will restore the confidence of foreign and domestic investors thus preparing a real recovery in private investment to make up the delay in this area.
  • The implementation of these priorities will require the implementation of important structural reforms to promote integration into the global economy, improving the business climate, financial sector restructuring, administrative reform and human resource development (education, training, research and innovation) in order to promote development and stimulate private investment in sectors with high added value and facilitating job creation for young graduates.
Externally:
  • THE PERIOD 2014-2016

This period was marked by a boom in the national economy through the realization of a quantum leap in foreign investment which will achieve significant levels of growth exceeding 7% from 2015. Moreover, this stimulus will help create about 500,000 jobs during the period 2012-2016, 60% in favor of graduates of higher education and reduce the unemployment rate to 10 -11%. Moreover, this phase will be characterized by a significant reduction of regional disparities including health, education, education, income and gender.
